Meet DARCIE MARSHALL
Darcie Marshall
Ms. Darcie Marshall has spent much of her career helping others succeed. Darcie worked as a paralegal, covering three states, for over 10 years before transitioning to the non-profit world serving as a welfare reform caseworker, legal advocate, and counselor for survivors of sexual assault and human trafficking. She later worked for a human service program modeled after the Harlem Children Zone, counseling young moms and families out of generational poverty by encouraging sustainable living and education.
Darcie decided to explore the senior care industry after helping her mother care for her father with dementia. Darcie witnessed the gap in services for the geriatric population and used her previous experiences to become the Director of Social Services for long term care company specializing in dementia care.
Darcie is a Purdue University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services. She is currently working on her master’s in human services as well.
In her free time, Darcie is a fine arts photographer and enjoys gardening, traveling, furniture restoration, antiquing and any type of outdoor adventure. Darcie resides in St. Joseph with her son, Tyler, and their English Mastiff and two shelter pups.
